✨Devotional Thoughts
There are seasons in life when discouragement whispers lies into our hearts— "It’s too late," "You’ve missed your chance," or "There’s nothing more God can do with you." In those moments, we often look at our circumstances and feel like God has taken His hands off our lives. But nothing could be further from the truth.
God is not finished with you. His plans are not hindered by your delays, your detours, or your doubts. He is the Master Potter, and your life is still on His wheel. He sees the masterpiece even when all you see is the mess.
Look at Abraham. God gave him a promise—that he would be the father of many nations. Yet, years passed. The promise seemed impossible. Abraham and Sarah were well beyond childbearing age. From a human standpoint, it looked like the story was over before it even began. But God was not done. In His perfect time, Isaac was born—the beginning of a lineage that would ultimately bring forth the Messiah.
Even when Abraham doubted, even when he took matters into his own hands, God remained faithful. He completed what He started in Abraham’s life—just as He will in yours.
I have seen people in their later years go back to school, start new businesses, or even enter mission work—and God has abundantly blessed their efforts, using them powerfully to fulfill His purposes. If God is stirring your heart to step out in faith, don’t let the thought that it’s "too late" hold you back. Prayerfully take that step. God’s timeline is never bound by age or season—He is always able to complete the good work He has begun in your life.
🕊️ Practical Reflection
What promise has God spoken over your life that feels delayed?Â
Have you mistaken the silence of a season for the absence of God?Â
Where have you limited God because you’ve limited your own belief in what He can do?Â
Take time today to realign your heart with the truth of God’s Word. His timing is not your timing, but His promises are sure. Trust that He is still writing your story.
🔚 Closing Thoughts
God’s pen is still moving in the story of your life. You are not forgotten. You are not a failure. You are not disqualified. The same God who began a good work in you is faithful to complete it—not halfway, not partially, but fully and beautifully. Let hope arise again in your heart. He’s not finished with you yet.
🙏 Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the Author and Finisher of my faith. Even when I feel stuck or forgotten, You are still working behind the scenes. Help me to trust Your process, believe in Your promises, and hold on to the hope that You are not finished with me. Complete the work You started in my life—in Your time, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
