All Inclusive
Scripture: "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ." - Ephesians 1:3 (NIV)
Devotional Thoughts
Have you ever seen an all-inclusive package deal advertised for a vacation or a special event? They grab our attention immediately, promising convenience, comfort, and no hidden costs—everything we need in one complete offer. We love all-inclusive deals because they mean we can experience something without the worry of what might be missing or what more we need to pay.
Salvation is God's "all-inclusive" package for us. It isn't just forgiveness of our sins, but so much more. When we receive Jesus as our Savior, we gain a whole new identity. We are no longer just people struggling to find our way; we are adopted into God's family, children of the Most High, with all the privileges that come from being His beloved sons and daughters. And along with this beautiful identity comes the promise of eternal life—a home in heaven that Jesus Himself has prepared for us.
This package also includes a Helper: the Holy Spirit. Just like vacation packages often come with a personal guide, God gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us through life's ups and downs, providing wisdom, strength, and comfort. Moreover, it includes answers to our prayers, the gift of supernatural peace, and hope that keeps us steady during storms. It's truly "all-inclusive" because there is nothing lacking in God's offer. He gives us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
Salvation isn't simply about what we escape from—the consequences of sin—but what we step into: a vibrant, Spirit-filled life full of promise and purpose. God calls us to a relationship where we don't have to worry about what's missing, because in Christ, we are fully provided for. All the promises in God's Word belong to us because we belong to Him.
Practical Reflection
Think about your own journey of faith. Are there areas of your life where you feel you're missing something? Maybe it's peace, joy, strength, or wisdom. Remember that God has already included all these benefits in His gift of salvation. It's not just forgiveness; it's adoption, belonging, purpose, and power. Spend time today reflecting on what it means to be an heir of God's kingdom. Remind yourself that through Jesus, you have access to every spiritual blessing, and whatever you're in need of is covered in this all-inclusive relationship.
If you've ever doubted whether you're "good enough" or felt like you're falling short, remember that God's grace is part of the package, too. He provides what we cannot. His mercy covers our failures, and His love renews us daily. Rest in the fullness of what He has provided, and live in the confidence that you lack nothing because of Christ.
Closing Thoughts
God's all-inclusive offer is one we could never afford on our own, yet it's freely given. Our part is simply to believe and receive. Let us live in the joy and confidence that comes from knowing everything we need—for today, tomorrow, and eternity—is included in Christ. There are no hidden costs, no hidden clauses, and nothing left out.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the all-inclusive salvation You have given us in Jesus. Thank You for forgiveness, adoption, and the hope of eternal life. Thank You for the Holy Spirit, Your comfort and guidance every day. Help us to remember that You have provided for our every need, and we can come to You with every worry and burden. May we live in the fullness of all You have given us without fear or doubt. In Jesus' name, Amen.
